Leeds College of Art is the only specialist art college in the region and has been delivering high-quality art and design provision for over 160 years.
Famous people who studied with us are the sculptors Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth and more recently Marcus Harvey and Turner Prize winner Damien Hirst.
Providing 12 degree courses, seven
further education courses and numerous part-time courses throughout the year, students can choose to study art and design subjects with us from the age of 16 upwards.
Our students experience an intense and exciting atmosphere, where tutors feel passionately that each one should discover their individual creative potential and where hard work pays off. We have over 1,000 BA (Hons) degree students and 900 who are studying further education courses, who all find themselves immersed in a truly creative environment.
With numerous award-winning students each year and tutors who are often practising artists in the subjects that they teach, there can’t be a better environment to nurture creativity. Real-life experience and practical advice helps our students shape their ambitions for the future.
