This course supports students as teacher, teaching assistant, and other school-based professional as they engage in enquiry and reflection on their own professional practice; the course provides a framework to explore key aspects of school leadership, as well as school improvement and effectiveness, with an emphasis on the challenges and opportunities experienced by middle leaders in primary and secondary schools; students also explore the diversity of leadership, understand the role of the middle leader and students are encouraged to and consider how their work can contribute towards school improvement and enhanced pupil learning; this course is aimed at practitioners across primary and secondary phases; students can register and begin at any time during the life of the course; students can study at their own pace and submit their work-based activity at any date before the final submission date for the course.
