OSAT means On-site Assessment and Training. A way of qualifying the workforce on the job. A way to indentify the skills of your workforce. A proven way to qualify experinced workers. For workers who have the experience, skills & knowledge, but not the qulifications to prove it. To identify the individuals skills and ability level. To help obtain your CSCS card. An LSA assessor will visit you, or your workforce, either on site or at your company's premises to indentify the skills you already have acquired. The assessor develops an action plan to fill any gaps in experience which you may have. You will then work to the plan at your own speed and the assessor will return to see how you are progressing & provide any necessary support. The whole process takes four to five visits over a period of less than six months to complete. It will help you & your employees to achieve vital CSCS cards quickly and easily. It takes into account existing skills which you or your employess may already have so that you only target the areas where there is insufficient experience. Process is carried out on site to reduce time away from the workplace. It is easier route for employees for whom literacy skills are limited.
