The course is designed to provide both a general knowledge of central areas of law and to allow special interests to be developed; students follow modules in the 7 core legal subjects which are found in most undergraduate law programmes; in addition, 2nd year students choose 3 subjects from a range of options; the academic work and examinations are of 1st degree standard; some teaching sessions are organised jointly with the school's 3 year undergraduate LLB degree; lectures and tutorials together occupy between 10 and 14 hours a week.
