The law course encourages students to place the law within a wider social and economic context, and through offering extensive opportunities for students to enhance legal knowledge and skills outside of the classroom, the range of qualifying degrees equip students with the academic and professional tools required to succeed at university and be well prepared for the professional workplace; accountants are best known for checking the validity of company accounts; auditing; but also the devising and operating financial systems, conducting investment analysis, advising on business start-ups, company takeovers and company rescue schemes, and handle individuals� and corporations� tax affairs.Stage 1: Financial accounting 1; quantitative methods for business and accounting; computing for business and accounting; economics; a critical introduction to law; constitutional and administrative law; legal process; obligations 1; criminal law or language/European module.
Stages 2-3: Financial accounting 2; management accounting 1; principles of finance; strategic management; criminal law if not taken at Stage 1; equity and trusts; European law; obligations 2; property law; options.
