The course equips students with the full range of legal research and writing skills, as well as knowledge of the core substantive law subjects, enabling them to proceed directly to complete professional training as a solicitor or barrister; students are familiarised with independent research of legal topics across all the main areas of law and the analytical and critical skills in law to proceed to an LLM programme; the course seeks to cover the 'core' modules, which constitute a qualifying law degree (and therefore exemption from the Academic Stage of Legal Training) in an accelerated format.
