This course aims to provide the knowledge and skills to apply social, economic, scientific and engineering principles to plan, implement and evaluate sustainable natural resource management projects and programmes; it provides training in the use of geographic information systems (GIS), stakeholder analysis and environmental impact assessment.
Modules include: GIS fundamentals; principles of sustainability; soil erosion for catchment management; soil plant environment science; environmental impact assessment; environmental remote sensing; landscape ecology; land and social resource survey and planning.
