Course Description
This Entry level course is suitable for all young people including those who have learning difficulties and aims to provide an introduction to a vocational area. The BTEC Entry Level Certificates in Skills for Working Life introduce learners to the skills they need to work in a career area they are interested in. Course units are growing plants; investigating land and environment; producing a product; health and safety; rights and responsibilities; managing money.
Assessment method
Assessment is through internal assessments; class work; individual learning plans
Entry Requirements
Candidates will need the following; a standard of literacy and numeracy required for pre-entry milestone 8; successfully undertake an assessment and transition programme; related interests or experiences
Venue Description
Stratford-Upon-Avon College is easily accessible by road, bus and rail. The College has car parks for the use of visitors and students. Support for Learners is offered in the form of own personal tutor; additional learning support; work placements; guidance and admissions; student support; library. Other facilities offered are clubs and societies; IT Centre; the Academy Bar and Restaurant; the Tranquillity Suite, accommodation on site. The College is committed to promoting equality of opportunity between disabled and other students. This may mean that disabled students require more favourable treatment than other students.
