The Kent Adult Education Service, run by Kent County Council offers around 3,000 courses across the county, ranging from one-day sessions to 30-week studies to achieve a recognised qualification.

Students come from many backgrounds and for many reasons to the Kent Adult Education Service. Some wish to pursue a new career and need extra skills, others are keen to try a new hobby or there are those who would like to study in a friendly atmosphere to gain qualifications they did not achieve at school.

There are a variety of subjects including one day courses useful for business, arts and crafts, sports and fitness including dance and Tai Chi, languages, GCSE qualifications in English, Maths or Psychology and one day weekend courses such as sign language, food safety and silversmithing.

The fees vary and for those eligible, there are concessions available and so everyone has the chance to experience the enjoyment and renewed confidence from developing existing skills or learning new ones.
