The course provides evidence-based training in investigative practices and subject-based theory and research; it equips students in 3 areas: analytical expertise including an appreciation of decisions biases, methods of critical thinking and problem-solving skills; contemporary theories of criminality and criminal behaviour, focusing on critical areas such as fraud, drug use and radicalisation; and evidence-based skills and techniques that enhance the investigative process in areas such as case management, data analysis and interviewing.
