This course covers the following two modules: what is marketing? and understanding customer relationships. By the end of the course you should know how to: begin to identify how marketing contributes to the success of an organisation, understand the environment and the key differences in the marketing mix, apply a basic knowledge of the building blocks that make up the marketing tools and identify best practice in different types of organisations and demonstrate a working knowledge of the different types of customer relationships (internal and external) and how to manage them.
Participants should have some work experience in one of the following roles: event management, personal assistant, customer service assistant, call centre employee, junior marketing, secretarial or administrative role.
