Course Overview
This module introduces the essential definitions, principles and thinking behind palliative care, exploring a range of approaches and perspectives. It investigates the roles associated with working in palliative care and the governmental, social and economic influences to which palliative care is subject.
What will I learn?
Palliative care is the active holistic care of patients with advanced progressive illness (The National Council for Palliative Care, 2009).
This programme is taught over 5 days. The aim of this course is to raise awareness of, explore and evaluate systems and methods of support for palliative care in all settings.

Assessment is 100% coursework which will include case studies and presentations.

If you are employed within a private sector business and do not already have a similar qualification at this level it is likely that due to current funding you will only have to pay half price.
