We offer a City & Guilds qualification in Hair and Beauty in our newly created, state of the art hair and beauty salon. You will be taught by experienced and highly qualified staff with extensive industry experience and you will have access to top class, industry standard resources. The City & Guilds is an industry recognised qualification for entry to a career as either a hairdresser or beauty therapist. The course covers presenting a professional image in a salon and health and safety. You will also gain practical skills in hairdressing – shampooing, conditioning and styling, and in beauty therapy – skin care, nail care and applying basic make up and face painting. You will also visit exhibitions and trade fairs. This course offers progression opportunities in either hairdressing or beauty therapy. It may also lead to employment opportunities in this sector and to Apprenticeships.
