This is a practical workshop for aspiring actors. It is an ideal place to learn the fundamental techniques of acting and to build their confidence. It will support them in learning the true differences between theatre, film and TV acting - an essential awareness that all actors need to learn.
Gain confidence, release your imagination, free your emotions and control your fear! Knowing who you are and the style of acting you can perform is one of the main reasons why aspiring actors attend this course. During the week you will learn how to act in many different styles that are relevant to your own acting needs and improve your own personal acting performance. Improvisation, Berkhoff, method acting, pure acting technique, stylised acting, realistic or documentary style approaches will all be investigated. You will explore techniques in freeing the voice, imagination and physicality as well as enhancing skills in working supportively with others in the creation of character, situation and role. The group size is kept small so that the creativity of every individual can be nurtured and developed.
This is a very practical course which is intensive, creative and fulfilling, giving you a solid introduction to the professional TV and theatre worlds.
