Into Manchester Overview
City College Manchester is one of the largest education providers in the North-West, with over 25,000 students of all ages studying for a range of qualifications. Last year we also attracted hundreds of international students from countries as far away as China, Russia, Brazil and Japan.
We have literally hundreds of courses available, from niche-interest courses to industry-accredited certificates in areas such as Business and IT, Catering, Childcare, Horticulture and Floristry, Drama, Art, Health & Social Care and many more. With us you can study at GCSE, AS / A Level, Foundation, HND and Degree Levels…
Facilities-wise, City College Manchester’s four main campuses across the city all have dedicated Learning Resource Centres, computer suites, Internet access and refectories. In addition each site has its own unique facilities, which include digital recording studios, art studios, hair and beauty salons, training restaurant and kitchens, childcare facilities, theatres, dance studios, DJ’ing booths, rehearsal rooms and editing suites.
What else? Well, one of the best assets City College has to offer our prospective students is the city of Manchester itself. The city centre boasts a variety of shopping experiences from markets and trendy boutiques to prestigious stores such as Harvey Nichols and Selfridges. Out of town, there is of course the colossal Trafford Centre, home to 280 shops under the one domed roof.
When you're not busy in the library or in classes, the city has numerous galleries, theatres, music venues, cafes, restaurants and bars, museums and cinemas to keep you busy... Highlights include Deansgate Locks, Castlefield, the arty Northern Quarter, Canal Street, the UK's largest China Town outside London, and the neon-lit Curry Mile, which is visited by 15, 000 curry lovers every single week.
