This course should interest qualified students from all over the world with relevant industry and regulatory experience; our mix of modules provides students with an opportunity to experience the entire range of �converged� legal skills for the digital information environment of the 21st century; small class sizes ensure excellent staff-student research interaction and our staff are an international team of comparative lawyers, with our professors forming the core of EXCCEL: Essex Centre for Comparative and European Law; our EXCCEL seminar series means our students can hear from a number of external speakers from academia and regulation; this LLM examines the convergence of communications media which has raised legal problems about access to, and use of, telecommunications networks, the Internet and broadcast media; students 1st term core module identifies the regulatory and private law framework within which the communication and information technology industries operate, and then each student must write their dissertation on a topic of their choosing within the field of information technology, media and e-commerce.
