This programme systematically explores the core issues involved in debates about migration and integration, both on the level of socio-political theory and through policy-focused case studies; the programme seeks to relate 2 bodies of scholarship, 1 focused particularly on issues of citizenship, multiculturalism and socio-political cohesion within states, and the other on international migration as a political process between states, and create insight into their relations and mutual relevance.
Core modules: international migration and transnationalism; nationalism, ethnicity and religious conflict.
