The course seeks to provide an appropriate mixture of economics and finance modules to provide students with a combination of economics and finance analytical skills as well as a strong understanding of UK and international financial markets; although providing a strong foundation in economics and finance theory, the course seeks to emphasise the application and critical understanding of this theory to ensure that the students are able to use their knowledge as required by both private and public sector employers; the course aims to create highly skilled individuals who are able to undertake analytical tasks rather than just knowing about finance and economics.
