Course Description
One of the Business Programme suite of degrees providing the opportunity to undertake a study and/or work placement in Europe through the EU Socrates programme or internationally through ISEP (International Student Exchange Programme). Courses are delivered in English. The degree has the same core modules as the Business Studies degree, but Year 3 must be spent overseas in a business or study placement. If you do well in your first year you may spend your second year studying in Europe.The course is intended for students who are anticipating careers in international management. The following modules are studied in Year 1: Markets and Government, Accounting for Managers, Managing Information for Business, Introduction to Business, Business Operations and One elective. Modules in Year 2 are: Markets and Europe, Small Business Enterprise and Planning, Management and Research Methods, Organisational Behaviour, Introductory Marketing and One elective. Year 3: is spent abroad, either studying at one of our partner institutions in Europe or America or on work placement abroad. Year 4 modules comprise: International Business, Business Policy, a Dissertation (40 credits) plus a choice of two from a range of international related electives.
