As an apprentice you will have a job and a wage whilst building up knowledge and skills within the Agricultural industry. Apprenticeships usually take between 18 and 24 months to complete and leads to a framework qualification made up of a Diploma in Work based Game and Wildlife Management, Key Skills, Employer Rights & Responsibilities, PLTS (Personal Learning and Thinking Skills) and a First Aid certificate.
There are no formal entry requirements, though an interest for the subject is essential. Students must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment at interview and complete an initial assessment to an acceptable standard to achieve the framework qualifications. Securing employment as an apprentice and two satisfactory references are also required.
