The Interactive Design Institute (IDI) is the UK’s leading provider of online qualifications in Art and Design. IDI offers courses at foundation, pre-master's and degree level. Our degree-level courses are validated by the University of Hertfordshire, one of the UK’s leading new universities.

The Interactive Design Institute was established in 2004, and since then has enrolled students from over 40 countries worldwide. We have helped students from many different backgrounds achieve their creative potential. We have enrolled students of all ages, from 16 to 70, and have given many who might otherwise have been denied the opportunity the chance to gain an internationally-recognised qualification in Design.

What’s on offer
At the Interactive Design Institute we deliver our courses online. IDI offers degree-level courses in Graphic Design, Illustration,Photography, Product Design, Interactive Media Design and Interior & Spatial Design.

At foundation level, it offers a range of specialist options, including fine art, graphic design and illustration, interior design and fashion and textiles.

Online learning is a form of distance learning which allows you to study from your home, your place of work or wherever is most convenient for you. It gives you the flexibility to study at times which suit you, and to combine your studies with work, family or other commitments which might otherwise conflict with a traditional college or university timetable.

Once enrolled on a course, you log in to a secure personal online studio, where you can access all your learning materials, upload and store images of your work, and communicate with your tutors and fellow students online. You can log in to your online studio wherever you are – from home, work, or in a library, study centre or internet cafe.

Throughout the course, you will have the support of a personal tutor, who will guide you through your studies. You will receive regular feedback and advice, and can communicate with your tutors and fellow students whenever you want.
