Course Description
The aim of this MSc and Postgraduate Diploma course is to impart the skills and understanding required to develop intelligent software applications, such as those involving evolutionary computation and learning. Students will develop skills in specialist areas with clear applications in industry - including data mining, speech processing and machine vision.

Assessment method
To qualify for an MSc or Postgraduate Diploma, students must successfully complete 8 modules at the appropriate level. The assessment of these modules is by examination and course work.
Entry Requirements
Admission requires a 1st or 2nd class honours degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or IT. Candidates holding less than a good honours degree or its equivalent but with compensating qualifications or experience may be admitted to the Postgraduate Diploma course. Transfer to the MSc will be possible later on if exam and course work are at MSc level.
