The MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights is aimed at individuals who are, or want to be, human rights professionals in the NGO, governmental, and inter-governmental sectors. Our MA is geared to making human rights professionals more effectively translate moral engagement and human rights discourse into transformative practice. The MA taught modules are therefore interdisciplinary and practice-oriented. Our MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights is the longest-running multi-disciplinary and practice-oriented human rights MA program in the UK. We have been training human rights advocates and defenders around the world since 1995.
