Course Description
This course gives students the opportunity to examine current thinking and practice in the field of modern security and warfare. The distinctive feature of the course is the emphasis on information and technology which are essential aspects of current security strategies. Students will be provided with the tools to critically evaluate current state paradigms, issues, policies and tools, and to ethically deconstruct official accounts of current conflicts and associated data, propaganda and disinformation. Information, Warfare and Control will provide a thorough understanding of the information and technology issues necessary to critically appraise currently security challenges. This will be achieved by providing core modules and a series of self directed study opportunities which will enable students to identify for themselves, key aspects of society's response to security in an information age. The course will be of particular interest to those working within non-governmental organisation communities and activists involved in them, as well as those concerned with the management and security of businesses who trade internationally.

Course Fees
Full-time tuition fees range from around £2,800 to £6,000 per year. Most full-time courses tend to cost around £2,800 per year, while laboratory-based courses tend to be more expensive. Part-time tuition is less per year, often around £900.

Entry Requirements
All applicants should possess either an honours degree or a professional qualification recognised as being equivalent to an honours degree or have significant work experience.
