Course Qualification: To earn the Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC3) qualification you must pass all three certification exams. IC3 exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise by evaluating your overall comprehension.

On-Line StudySTUDY TIME90 hours over 12 monthsWhilst studying with Open Learning, you will be supported by the Open Learning team, you will have access to the College Libraries, and the IT Centre. You will be assigned a tutor who is a subject specialist in your chosen course. Your tutor is there to support you through the course and provide assistance with the learning materials.
Course Fees
This course with all 3 assessments costs £160.00 (subsidised rate for students who have been resident in the E.E.A. for 3 years).
Entry Requirements
Although this is a foundation course, you need to have basic computer skills and therefore the course is not suitable for complete beginners.Please contact Open Learning openlearning@abcol.ac.uk if you require further information on entry requirements.
Equipment and Materials
A computer (one that you can access frequently and work on for an extended period of time) and which has the following minimum system requirements. • Windows ME / 2000 / XP with SP1 • Minimum 64 MB RAM, 1 G of free disk space • 150 MHz or higher processing speed • Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape 6 • Monitor capable of at least 800 x 600 resolution • Speakers or headphones • A Broadband Internet connection.
