Entry Requirements
Prior Knowledge and Skills RequirementsBefore starting a course of study or training leading to the assessment for this unit, it is assumed and is advisable that the candidate has already acquired the knowledge and skills as specified in the IAB Level 2 and 3 Diplomas in Payroll Processing or the IAB Level 2 Certificates in Manual Payroll Processing and the IAB Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Payroll Processing.ENTRY REQUIREMENTSIt is recommended that before commencing a course leading to either or both of the Units of the IAB Level 3 Certificate in Manual Payroll the prospective student has already achieved the IAB Level 2 Certificate in Manual Payroll. Alternatively, they should have comparable prior knowledge and skills acquired through paid or voluntary work experience.
Equipment and Materials
You will need a copy of Sage Line 50 V11 or any other suitable version of Sage Instant Accounts software. Students have access to the College IT Centre - (Tel: 01224-612260).Each student is responsible for contacting Open Learning at the start of their studies to confirm which version they are using. It is also advisable to contact Open Learning well in advance of the examination confirming which software package and version they have been using. This is to ensure the college has advance notice of the appropriate software. However, please note that in some circumstances we may not be able to provide the version you have been using.
