What are Legal Executives. Legal executives are qualified, experienced lawyers, who usually specialise in a particular area of law. They have their own recognised status and role within the legal profession and enjoy a responsible and rewarding career. A legal executive will: Have passed the Level 6 Professional qualification in Law set by at least five years experience working in a solicitors or licensed conveyances office, the legal department of a private company or local/national government. He or she may then apply to become a Fellow of ILEX. Only Fellows of ILEX may be referred to as Legal Executives. Course Aims:This exciting academic programme provides a wonderful opportunity for students with career aspirations to work as Legal Executives, to study part time, either whilst they work at their chosen profession or whilst pursuing other interests during the daytime. Students will learn a variety of different subjects to degree level.

The final year consisted of one taught session and one tutorial per month. This filled well with my teaching commitments and the supports of the tutor was always available....more
The course gave a great opportunity to work in different sectors of childcare (ie nursery, schools, etc). The tutors were friendly and easy to talk too and gave options and advice for later progress, especially in assignments....more
