Human geography explores interactions between humans and their environment in a range of contexts and at a number of scales; practical and field work are key elements of the teaching programme and students have the opportunity to take part in an optional overseas field course to the South West United States of America; the popular music course considers popular music from a number of theoretical angles throughout all 3 stages; it has a hands-on, practice element enabling students to develop their creative skills in composition/song-writing and cultivates their general musicianship; students are introduced to the application of contemporary music technologies and hone performance and production skills.
Human geography All years: Typical modules include: career planning; children's geographies; geography and development; introducing human geographies; issues in human geography; leisure, people and the environment; society and environment; urban geography. Popular music All years: Typical modules include: creative digital; jazz and popular musicianship; music with media; notations; pop in practice; professional project; sound and recording; understanding popular music; writing about music.

Not much previous knowledge needed, u need to be willing to study theses areas and have a general interest. Teachers are great always there to help and u get a lot well double the amount u initially want which is great!!...more
