Course Description
In this course, students will study about botany, plant taxonomy, plant structures, processes and physiology, principles and main practices of plant propagation, site selection and cultural operations required to produce a range of vegetable, soft and top fruit crops, basic surveying techniques, site appraisal, principles and elements of design, garden styles and the use of hard and soft landscaping materials, soil characteristics, properties and management of soils and growing media, protected cultivation structures such as greenhouses, frames, cloches and polythene tunnels, controlling the environment and the establishment, maintenance and care of a range of plants, plant knowledge selection, establishment and maintenance of a range of plants, including lawns, seasonal bedding, herbaceous, shrubs, roses, climbers, hedges and trees, pests, diseases and weeds.

Course Fees
£250 for tuition fee; £70 for exam fee

Assessment method
Students will be assessed through examinations.

Entry Requirements
Students must have an interest in the subject and a commitment to sit the examination.

Equipment and Materials
Students must need to bring protective clothing and footwear, secateurs and a knife for practical activity.
