Course Description
In this course, students will learn to identify a range of plants, grow plants from seeds and cuttings and look after them. Students also learn how to look after tools and equipment. It covers units such as safe and effective work practices in land based industries develop performance in land based industries, identifying plants, identifying common pests and diseases, use transport to assist with the maintenance of tools and equipment.
Course Fees
£400; £100 for registration and certification fee for UK students aged 19 plus; £4500; £500 for registration and certification fee for non UK students
Assessment method
Students will be assessed through portfolio of evidence and a short examination.
Entry Requirements
Students must be working at Entry Level 3 or Level 1 in Mathematics and English and show a keen interest in the vocational subject and Life experiences are taken into account when considering applications.
Equipment and Materials
Students will need steel toe capped boots and waterproof clothing.
