In this course, participants will study German history from the middle of the 19th Century through to the middle of the 20th Century, covering the emergence of the German empire, war and defeat by 1918, the struggles of post war democracy, the rise to power of the Nazis and the consolidation of the Hitler state and also study British history from 1895 to 1951, covering the high point of empire, social reform, the Suffragettes, the rise of the Labour Party and the domestic impact of the First World War.
Participants must have a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade A to C in National Curriculum subjects including English Language or Mathematics and also possess a grade A to C in English Language or IELTS 5.5.
