The programme is intended to meet the needs of participants interested in current policy developments in higher education and their impact on the management of higher education; and the needs of academic leaders and managers as well as staff working in professional services; it provides an overview of a range of management activities, offering both a broadening of knowledge in areas where the participant has little or no experience and a deepening of knowledge in areas where the participant has specialist experience; the programme covers all the main areas of higher education management and policy.
Core modules: governance, organisation and management in higher education; introduction to higher education management and policy; quality management in higher education; research methods; strategic and operational planning in higher education; strategic resource management in higher education; dissertation; plus 2 optional modules from: access and inclusion in higher education; globalisation and internationalisation in higher education; information, marketing and institutional research in higher education; strategic research management in higher education; or other relevant modules.
