About this course

 

Our Health & Safety course is designed to provide delegates with an appreciation and understanding of Health and Safety legislation and duties, how this is put into practice and the impact it has on us as individuals whilst at work. During the course the delegates will gain a basic knowledge of health and safety topics that are relevant to all workplaces. The 2 hour course covers the following areas:

  • Introduction to Health and Safety
  • Legislation/Roles and Responsibilities
  • Guidance Notes and Approved Codes of Practice
  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Other Legislation
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • Infection Control 
  • Lone Worker & Violence and Aggression
  • Data Protection Act
  • Information Governance and Caldicott Protocols
  • Professional Codes of Conduct
  • Complaints Handling and Conflict Resolution
  • Fire Safety
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR)
  • POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults)
  • Child Protection

 All participants are continually assessed during the course and a certificate will be awarded on successful completion.
