This course offers students an overview of health and safety law and how to assess/reduce unnecessary risks that may arise during the production life-cycle of a film from the start of development to the completion of post production. Topics include: health and safety law including the health and safety at work act 1974; the management of health and safety at work; health and safety, risk assessment and working on location; hazard recognition and the identification of risk; accident reporting; writing and monitoring risk assessments; written test which leads to qualification. On successful completion of the course they will be qualified by Hannon Media Ltd to be a film production risk assessor for two years.
