The course aims to extend students scientific and professional knowledge in order to provide the skills needed to synthesise literature and research findings applicable to their own discipline.
Compulsory modules: Research methods; statistics and epidemiology; health economics; social and behavioural sciences; leadership, quality, innovation and change; behavioural science in health and social change; optional modules include: behavioural science in health and social change; biology and physiology for advanced practice; community participation; enhancing parenting skills; epidemiology and needs assessment; public health nutrition; health of the individual, family and community; investing in a valued workforce; principles and practice of public health and health promotion; promoting mental health and well being; organisational behaviour; managing and developing people; knowledge and skills of advanced clinical practice.
