Course Description
The programme is designated with four research themes: Clinical Narrative; Clinical Messaging; Clinical Ontologies; Clinical Informatics. Current research activity include: Process in clinical practice; Electronic records, component-based architecture and standards; Innovation and adoption of technology in health settings; User driven development of tools for clinical governance; Knowledge management and Clinical practice; Learning model and frameworks for health care professionals; The use of narrative in analysis and design of clinical information processes and products; The design of patient record architectures and usability of clinical workstations; The use of ontologies, tools; Evidence based informatics and the deployment of electronic message development methodologies; Holistic evaluation of clinical IS; The evaluation of problem-based learning in clinical settings.
