Course Description
The modules covered include: the world at my fingertips - an introduction to the concepts and technology that will be used throughout the course; the development of health informatics - an insight into the changing nature of information technology in health care; information processing in health care - the use and applications of information processing in the health care sector; research in health informatics; communications technologies; coding, classification, standards and modelling in health care; telematics in health care; health informatics in practice.

Course Fees
For 2007/8 entry course fees were £3,240 per annum full time; £1,620 per annum part-time for EU/home students. Course fees are subject to change and students are advised to check the current details with the course provider before enrolling on this course.

Entry Requirements
Applications are welcome from mature candidates with at least 2 year responsible experience in a relevant area of employment, as well as those with a degree - 2:2 or above preferred or its equivalent and evidence of recent academic study. You will be expected to have access to an Internet-connected computer either at home or at your normal place of work. Although you should have a basic understanding of IT - including Internet use and basic 'office' software, some training will be given throughout the course.
