There are no specific qualifications required to do the SVQ in Health and Social Care, however, there are some specific requirements needed to enable any candidate to complete the course.• Candidates must be working within the care sector either part time or full time.• Candidates must have the permission of their employer to allow work based assessment to take place• Candidates must have an active involvement in the care of others, not just an administrative role• Level three candidates must be in a supervisory capacity in order to be able to gather the required evidence.

FOR REGISTRATION PURPOSES THE SCOTTISH SOCIAL SERVICES COUNCIL (SSSC) REQUIRE THE COMPLETION OF ALL FOUR CORE UNITS AND TWO OPTIONAL UNITS.
