HAVERING ADULT COLLEGE - Welcome to Havering Adult College's 2010/11 adult programme. We hope you will find something of interest. We have a wide range of courses on offer in various learning Centres throughout the London Borough of Havering.

At the Adult College our students are from a variety of backgrounds and are of a variety of ages. Many of our students are returning learners who want to re-train or improve their career prospects by joining one of our skills for life, Complementary Therapy, GCSE, Teaching Assistant, Floristry, Language etc courses, whilst others are learning for their own personal development with courses in every subject from Art to Assertiveness, Crafts to Complementary Therapies, Maths to Music and Dance. Our courses offer the opportunity to meet a whole new group of friends with similar interests. Whatever your reason to study we have something for everyone, and can help you achieve your ambitions and/or qualifications.

We work in partnership with local employers, voluntary and community organisations, various groups and individuals to ensure that we can meet your needs. Education Towards Employment for People with Learning Difficulties & Disabilities

Havering Adult College provides opportunity for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to progress in a safe and relaxed learning environment. All staffs are qualified to teach in the lifelong learning sector and have particular experience of learning difficulties and adopt the best methods of teaching.

Accredited Tarining

Havering Adult College provides accredited training in the following:

• Personal safety in home, when travelling, socially and the work environment

• Employability skills covering Health & Safety and making informed choices

• Work awareness

• Personal and social development

• Literacy and numeracy
