This course covers the advanced approach to technical hairdressing services inclusive of management training this level prepares participants for senior stylist or management positions. It covers the following topics: improving clients services; advanced fashion hair cutting drying and styling; fashion colouring, perming and relaxing techniques; financial management; maintenance of salon health and hygiene; promotional activity, and team work and development. Upon successful completion of the course, participants can progress on to a foundation degree (level 4) in salon management or to pursue a career as a hairdressing technician, lecturer, assessor (City and Guilds A1), external verifier (City and Guilds V1) or journalist.
Participants should have 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Mathematics and English Language or level 2 certification.
