You will learn all the basic skills needed to work in salon and how to make sure staff and clients are kept healthy and safe. There will be classes in English, Maths, ICT, personal and social development to help you develop the skills and qualities you need to be successful in college and at work. Units studied are health and safety, prepare and maintain hair and beauty salon treatment work areas, shampoo and condition hair, blow dry hair, assist with facial skin care treatments and make up.
At least 3 GCSE grades D-F normally including English and Maths. A genuine interest in hair and beauty.
