This course covers: health and safety, advising and consulting with clients, cutting hair using basic techniques, shampooing and treating hair and scalp for African type hair, styling and finishing African type hair, setting and dressing hair, changing hair colour using basic techniques, relaxing hair. After completing this course students will progress onto Level 2 in Barbering or Beauty, or progress to Level 3 in Hairdressing or Production Arts.
Students must have a good general standard of education, 3 GCSEs at grade A-C or completion of a Level 1 Hairdressing course.
