This is a foundation degree course leading to the undergraduate degree in Computer Applications. Students who succeed in obtaining this qualification can either seek employment in the industry or, subject to attaining the required English language standards, continue their studies in the 'Top Up' BSc Hons Information and Communication Technology. Course modules 1st year: Semester 1 - Computer Platforms, System Analysis, End User Support, Human Computer Interface and Programming Concepts; Semester 2 - Information Systems, Database Design Concepts, Networking Concepts, Personal Skills Development and Information Systems Project. Course modules 2nd year: Semester 1 - Quality Systems, Networking Technology and e-Business Strategy; Semester 2 - Data Analysis and Design, MS Office Solution Development and e- Business Development.
