This course provides a broad foundation of knowledge and skills required to work with young children, particularly in an educational setting.Unlike many Early Years degree programmes, this course provides successful students with a license to practice in an early years setting.To support this, students undertake 800 hours of work placement and complete a professional placement log.This experience, combined with excellent tutor support, enables successful graduates to confidently undertake supervisory roles within childcare settings.
Students must be at least 18 years of age and would normally be expected to have at least 40 UCAS

The final year consisted of one taught session and one tutorial per month. This filled well with my teaching commitments and the supports of the tutor was always available....more
The course gave a great opportunity to work in different sectors of childcare (ie nursery, schools, etc). The tutors were friendly and easy to talk too and gave options and advice for later progress, especially in assignments....more
