This course is designed to develop a deeper understanding of the technique, performance skills, context and professional practice needed to progress into HE, vocational institutes or employment in the performing arts industry. What will I study? You will undertake self-directed study alongside directed teaching and private study classes, performances, residencies, workshops, written projects and presentations. You will gain valuable knowledge and experience in order to become a versatile theatre practitioner. This course is suitable for those who have a full Level 3 qualification or relevant experience in the performing arts. Subjects Mandatory Units: Creative Arts Professional Practice, Creative Arts research Skills. Specialist Units: Alternative approaches to acting Devising Performance, Voice and development and Practice and Physical Theatre. This can lead to higher education in degree courses, creative apprenticeships and employment.
What are the entry requirements? You will need to have successfully completed a full Level 3 course and have previous drama training that can be demonstrated at an audition. Two references must be supplied. You will also need to attend a drama audition and interview. Evidence of an interest and / or previous participation in dance is required as well as an appropriate level of written English.
