This course is designed to further develop teaching expertise and qualifications in specific subject areas in the secondary school sector. It aims to provide a postgraduate program offering candidates enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (K-12 Middle Schooling) the opportunity to complete a second high school specialisation in either: Economics, English, Geography, History and Information Technology or, in the case of candidates with English or mathematics as their high school area, the opportunity to undertake further subjects in their chosen subject area. It also aims to offer a graduate certificate qualification for existing secondary teachers only. This award provides the opportunity for secondary teachers to commence further study in another teaching area beyond present qualifications held.
