This course enables graduates to teach in a range of ways including blended learning and learning for the professions; implement student-centered and inclusive learning practices and create student-centered and inclusive learning environments; demonstrate continued commitment to development through reflective practices in learning and teaching in higher education using a range of evidence; undertake systematic scholarly inquiry into learning and teaching in higher education; describe, analyze and critique developments in the higher education sector in Australia and overseas and the implications for their own institution; design a teaching curriculum and develop learning materials; design a range of assessment strategies to meet student outcomes and assess students to meet institutional reporting, moderation and reporting requirements and feedback.
Students must have successfully completed the CSU Tertiary Teaching Colloquium prior to Spring 2009. Admission will be automatic, and candidates will be granted advanced standing for the subject EEL409.
