The course studies Venetian art and architecture from the 16th century when artists such as Titian, Tintoretto and Palladio enriched the city with innovative paintings and buildings - to its last splendid period in the 18th century when the beauty of Venice was conveyed through Canaletto s views while Tiepolo filled churches and palaces with magnificent frescoes and Longhi recorded its society.
