Students complete 90 credits of compulsory modules; plus a research project written up as a dissertation of 90 credits; compulsory modules cover: geotechnical design; soil modelling, and numerical methods; geomechanics; research methods, for engineers; ground improvement techniques; rock engineering; ground investigation: design, principles, and practice; plus in addition: groundwater assessment.
