The BSc geography with sport science programme is the degree for students who are interested in sport or how exercise and nutrition can promote health; the degree gives students the opportunity to gain the skills and background knowledge in a wide range of subjects that are in increasing demand from a range of employers; although geography performs exceptionally well in terms of graduate careers, students may be keen to develop more specific sport science related skills during an undergraduate degree; it is a course that teaches a range of knowledge and skills in demand by a wide range of the sports, health and lifestyle industries; the programme combines courses in physiology, training methodologies and geography but also enables the study of a wide range of other courses including modern languages; the programme enables students to develop knowledge on a range of sport science and geography related subjects relevant to the employment demands of today; within geography, subjects will focus on physical geography and especially on those courses dealing with landform processes, GIS, biogeography and climate (particularly climate change).
